An Epic Battle with a Spider.

without comments

I was on the computer when I felt the presence of a spider on the blinds of my room.  I thought it was probably just a shadow, but I looked and then freaked out.  The spider was one of the scary ones.  It was about the size of a quarter and beige.  I don’t know if spiders can hear, but it retreated behind the blinds upon my screaming.

I cried out to my mom to come and defeat the spider.  Reluctantly, she came armed with a tissue, but the spider was nowhere to be found.  My mom left to continue cooking dinner, so I was left to find the spider.  From afar (on top of my bed), I poked around with my back scratcher and yard stick.  I didn’t know what to do.  I couldn’t live with a huge spider in my room.  What if it crawled into my ear or nose or mouth while I was asleep?

Then, out of nowhere, the spider suddenly appeared.  I cried out for my mom to come back, but she wouldn’t.  Left with nothing to kill the spider with, I taped the tissue around the end of the yard stick.  I then thrust, but the spider escaped and ran from my blinds to the corner of my desk.

The spider had just opened up a new battleground.  It could be anywhere amongst the junk on my desk.  Or, it could be on the ground.  Or, it could be hiding underneath the surface of my desk.  Using the back scratcher, one by one I began to knock stuff off my desk.  Then, the spider suddenly appeared again.

I called my mom, who finally decided to come to my aid.  By then, the spider had retreated, but it was soon to be found and smushed.
