Getting Back on Track.

without comments

I got to thinking this past weekend that I have to get back on track, so until I finish my purity course, which i think will be until late September, I have decided to stop reading books, online articles, forums, and blogs on working out and nutrition.

My get back on track plan:

1.  Sleep at 10ish and wake up at 6ish.

2.  Listen to sermons on my iPod while working out.

3.  Read books that will provoke thought (instead of reading nutrition and workout books).

4.  Limit my internet time.

5.  Start using my planner again.

It is so easy to lose focus.  I made much of these resolutions sunday night, but already I have broken many of them.  But hey, it’s a process.  I have many dreams and goals, but I always seem to lose focus, whether it be b/c of a TV show, working out, internet, etc.

The time I spend working out, including driving and showering (contrast cold/hot showers to help with healing), ends up being like 3-4 hours a day.  Then, I come home and spend a couple hours a day watching the Shield and the rest of my time reading about working out or nutrition.  My days fly by with classes, working out, reading about working out or nutrition, and martial arts classes.

Starting August 11, I’m going to be working 51 hours a week, so I’m going to have even less time.  Hopefully, as I step back from reading about working out and nutrition and start reprioritizing, I’ll be able to grow as a person and get my life back on track.

Currently Planning on Reading:

The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People by Stephen R. Covey
